DALLAS – The name principals at Dallas-based Caldwell Cassady & Curry are being recognized by other attorneys for their work in intellectual property and commercial litigation in the 2016 listing of the Best Lawyers in Dallas published by D Magazine.

Brad Caldwell, Jason Cassady and Austin Curry earned selection to the list for the first time following an impressive year of courtroom victories. In February, the firm prevailed for longtime client VirnetX Holding Corp. in a patent infringement lawsuit against technology giant Apple Inc. Jurors in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas awarded VirnetX $625.6 million, the nation’s largest jury award so far in 2016.

That win eclipsed a separate patent infringement verdict the firm won last year against Apple when Eastern District jurors awarded nearly $533 million to Smartflash LLC. The verdict was the largest in Texas in 2015 and the third-largest in the nation, according to VerdictSearch.
