Brad Caldwell of Dallas’ Caldwell Cassady & Curry Named to Super Lawyers List

Noted trial lawyer again named among best in Texas for intellectual property cases.

DALLAS – Name principal Brad Caldwell of Dallas’ Caldwell Cassady & Curry once again has earned selection to the annual Texas Super Lawyers list based on his work for clients in intellectual property litigation.

Mr. Caldwell claimed his fourth consecutive Texas Super Lawyers listing after previously being named to the companion Texas Rising Stars list for multiple years. Both lists are published by Thomson Reuters based on nominations from other attorneys and an extensive editorial review. Fewer than 5 percent of the state’s lawyers are selected to the exclusive listing each year.

Mr. Caldwell’s selection to the 2018 Texas Super Lawyers list comes during another undefeated year in the courtroom for Caldwell Cassady & Curry. Last year, Mr. Caldwell was named a Lawyer on the Rise by Texas Lawyer newspaper, and he was the only Texas attorney selected to the 2017 Rising Stars list by the national legal publication Law360.

Earlier this year, Mr. Caldwell helped VirnetX Inc. win a $502.6 million unanimous patent infringement verdict against Apple Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Last month, he helped Acantha LLC win an $8.2 million verdict against medical device giant DePuy Synthes in separate patent infringement trial heard in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

Trial wins like these led the publishers of Managing Intellectual Property magazine to name Caldwell Cassady & Curry as the 2018 U.S. Firm to Watch during an awards ceremony in New York. The firm also recently claimed its third consecutive Best Law Firms listing by the publishers of U.S. News & World Report and The Best Lawyers in America.

Caldwell Cassady & Curry represents companies and individuals in high-stakes civil litigation, including patent infringement cases, trade secrets claims, fiduciary duty cases, class actions, and disputes involving company founders.
