Attorneys from Dallas’ Caldwell Cassady & Curry Named Among Best in Texas

Nine firm lawyers earn spots on 2020 Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list

DALLAS – The Dallas business litigation and intellectual property law firm Caldwell Cassady & Curry is home to nine attorneys who are being recognized among the best in the state on the 2020 Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list published by Thomson Reuters’ legal division.

Name principal Austin Curry earned his seventh consecutive selection among Texas’ top young lawyers based on his extensive work in intellectual property litigation. He additionally was named to the “Up and Coming 100” list of the state’s leading attorneys. This marks the third time Mr. Curry has been recognized among the Top 100 lawyers in Texas.

Caldwell Cassady & Curry principals Justin Nemunaitis, Hamad Hamad, Chris Stewart, John Summers and Daniel Pearson also claimed repeat Texas Rising Stars honors based on their work for clients in intellectual property litigation and business litigation.

Firm associate Warren McCarty earned his second consecutive selection and fellow associates Bailey Blaies and Seth Reich were named on the Texas Rising Stars list for the first time. All three associates earned high marks for their work in intellectual property cases.

Since the publication of last year’s Texas Rising Stars list, Caldwell Cassady & Curry has continued the firm’s success for clients while earning repeated professional recognition.

In February, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear the appeal of a $439.8 million judgment that Caldwell Cassady & Curry helped longtime client VirnetX Inc. win against technology giant Apple Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Caldwell Cassady & Curry also was named to the “Texas Verdicts Hall of Fame” by the publishers of Texas Lawyer newspaper based on the firm’s wins in five of the largest intellectual property verdicts in Texas between 2014 and 2018.
