Six of Texas’s top young intellectual property attorneys from Caldwell Cassady & Curry have earned spots on the 2024 Benchmark Litigation 40 & Under list of the country’s leading young attorneys.
The Caldwell Cassady & Curry principals Daniel Pearson, Seth Reich, Justin Nemunaitis, Warren McCarty, Hamad Hamad, and Chris Stewart are noted for their work in intellectual property cases in Texas and across the U.S.
In addition to the Benchmark Litigation 40 & Under honors, Caldwell Cassady & Curry is home to attorneys who have earned multiple individual rankings in The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, IAM Patent 1000, Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars, and many others.
The individual honors come amid another successful year of Caldwell Cassady & Curry attorneys winning cases as lead trial counsel.
Caldwell Cassady & Curry began 2024 with a $57 million verdict for Midwest Energy Emissions Corp. in a patent infringement trial heard in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware in Wilmington. Jurors issued the award after finding that the defendants infringed two Midwest Energy patents used in technology for capturing mercury emissions from coal-fired power plants.
The firm followed that win with a $10.3 million patent infringement verdict for SVV Technology Innovations Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. The case decided by a jury in Waco focused on the infringement of four SVV Technology patents by Acer Inc., the Taiwan-based computer hardware and electronics company.
