Mr. Caldwell represented Summit 6 in its patent infringement action in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas involving the company’s patents covering the compression of images prior to uploading. All parties other than Samsung settled before a 2013 trial that ended with a Dallas jury awarding Summit 6 a $15 million verdict against Samsung.
