Caldwell Cassady & Curry won a $10.3 million patent infringement verdict in June 2024 on behalf of SVV Technology Innovations Inc. against Acer Inc. The lawsuit over a series of SVV’s optics and lighting technology patents was tried in the Waco Division of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. The jury found Acer liable for infringing four SVV patents. The court denied the defendants’ motion to nullify the jury’s award with an order entered in June 2026.
