Brad Caldwell Elected Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates

Caldwell Cassady & Curry’s Brad Caldwell has been elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the nation’s leading organization dedicated to protecting the public’s right to a civil jury trial.

Since Caldwell Cassady & Curry was launched just over a decade ago, Mr. Caldwell has served as lead counsel in cases resulting in multiple billions of dollars in verdicts and settlements.

“It is such an honor for me to become an ABOTA member and be associated with so many esteemed colleagues who display very high levels of skill, integrity, and civility,” says Mr. Caldwell, who concentrates on intellectual property trials and business disputes. “I look forward to working with—and learning from—other members in Texas and throughout the US to better myself as a lawyer and to help uphold the critically important role of jury trials in our society.”

The ABOTA Board of Directors confirmed Mr. Caldwell’s membership during its national meeting in October. The Dallas Chapter of ABOTA recognized and welcomed Mr. Caldwell and other new members to the group during its annual dinner this month.

The Executive Committee for Dallas ABOTA noted Mr. Caldwell’s “hard work and talent as a trial lawyer” and his “commitment to civility and practicing law with the highest honor and character.”

ABOTA is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges who have worked together since 1958 to defend the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and its protections for civil jury trials. The group is dedicated to judicial independence and an increasing presence for underrepresented individuals in the legal profession and jury trials.
